Group 04 of Nlsc

    Group 04 was setted up by Professor Zhao (Zhongxian Zhao), we are dedicated to explore the new High-Tc sunperconductors and study the iron-based superconductivity mechanism. Now, our team has 22 members, including 4 professors, 2 associate professors and 15 students.

    (1) Growth of high-quality superconducting single crystals and exploration of new superconductors: Grow superconducting single-crystals mainly layered iron-based ones by high-temperature (floating-zone and Bridgeman) and high-pressure techniques. Regulate and control the chemical component and physical property by hydrothermal (soft-chemistry) technique.
   (2) Study of iron-based superconductivity mechanism: Systematically investigate the normal- and superconducting-state properties of the single crystals, under multiple variables of doping, temperature, magnetic field, high-pressure and crystal orientation. Focus on unusual normal-state electronic behaviors (including the characteristics of spin nematicity and orbital ordering) and their correlations with the superconductivity in the iron-based crystals. Special attention will be paid to the anisotropy in the magnetism and charge transport.
